October 19, 2009

verizon quad play bundleThe most awaited "quad play" is now finally here at Verizon. The "quad play bundles", was first offered at Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. The bundle is a combination of wireless service with wireline voice, data and video offerings for both FiOS and DSL customers.  The bundle cost $134.99/monthly for the fiber-to-the-premises services and $129.99/monthly for DSL/DirecTV-based quad play services.

This move according to Verizon is meant to put cables on defensive since currently they cannot offer wireless service as part of their bundle. The Verizon quad play integrates its Freedom Essentials wireline voice service which offers unlimited local and long-distance calling to the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, along with voice mail, caller ID and other advanced feature.

With Verizon offers, costumers can get the FiOS TV Essential package with 250 channels plus 14 HD channels at $47.99/mo. and Internet speed of up to 15 mbps downstream and 5 mbps upstream at $49.99/mo. And the Verizon Wireless Service Nationwide Basic usually at $39.99. With this offering you get a big savings of $59 - $179 annually depending which package you avail. Not only that you get great savings. Quad- and triple-play bundles featuring different broadband speeds, TV plans and Verizon Wireless calling plans are also available, as well as additional copper-based double-play bundles.
